The Soundcraft EFX8 is a versatile analogue mixing console designed for users who want dependable Soundcraft audio quality together with high-quality built-in effects. It combines the core design of the Soundcraft EPM series with a 24-bit Lexicon digital effects processor, providing an integrated solution for live performances, rehearsals, houses of worship, music venues and other sound reinforcement applications.
At the heart of the EFX8 is a 24-bit Lexicon effects processor using AudioDNA technology. It provides 32 effects settings along with Tap Tempo, three effects parameter controls and the ability to store a user effects setting. This allows effects to be added directly from the mixer without requiring a separate external processor.
Soundcraft GB30 Microphone Preamps
The EFX8 uses Soundcraft’s GB30 microphone preamps, designed to provide transparent audio performance and plenty of control for microphones and other sources. The mixer provides eight mono mic/line input channels along with two stereo input channels, making it suitable for combining vocals, instruments and playback sources in one compact setup.
Flexible Channel EQ
Each mono input includes a 3-band EQ with a swept midrange, allowing more precise adjustment of important mid frequencies. The stereo channels also provide 3-band EQ, giving users straightforward control over the tonal balance of connected sources.
